    Sebastian Spreng: DRESDEN

    Sebastian Spreng: DRESDEN

    Museum Exhibit

Sebastian Spreng's DRESDEN shows the desctruction of this eastern German city by Allied bombs in February 1945. It examines humanity's capacity for both good and evil. Despite the images' stark message, the works have a lyrical quality due, in part, to Spreng's knowledge of and passion for classical music. He infuses the 61 paintings, which were created on an iPad, with the spirit of his favorite composers.

Sebastian Spreng: DRESDEN is made possible thanks, in part, to Presenting Sponsor Beaux Arts and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
