Tailored Travel for the City of Unpredicted Magic
Miami is a booming city that is anything but ordinary. From South Beach to Wynwood, Miami, otherwise known as “The Magic City,” is an ecosystem of entirely unique and charming neighborhoods, each with its own feel. Here, travel and transportation aren’t just a daily convenience — they’re a necessity.
Dubbed a commuter city a few years ago, maintaining a healthy balance between professional and social life was near impossible without a car. But with the emergence of the rideshare industry, commuters have found a way to enjoy all of Miami’s neighborhoods and attractions, right at their fingertips.
Lyft, the fastest-growing on-demand transportation service in the United States, understands the unique travel needs of Miami’s residents and its visitors. Just recently, the rideshare service partnered with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) to provide discounted rides (July 1 through September 30) to the best Miami has to offer during the bureau’s Miami Summer Temptations program, which includes the Miami Spa Month and Miami Spice programs plus hotel staycation experiences.
In Florida, Lyft offer service far and wide across the Sunshine State. As for Miami, the app continues to expand its options for rideshare passengers, by suiting the needs of anyone and everyone so you can get the most out of your time here.
There is a Lyft vehicle for every type of rider and for every occasion:
Environmentally conscious Lyft users and riders looking to save on cost can share their ride with others going the same way and pay up to 60 percent less by taking a Lyft Line. Riders heading to an elegant fundraiser or gala can choose a Lyft Lux vehicle, the app’s most luxurious ride experience, which allows users to arrive in style in an ultra-high-end black car piloted by a top driver. Larger groups going for a lavish night in Brickell can opt for Lyft Lux SUV, which provides all the amenities of Lyft Lux in a more spacious, ultra-high-end black SUV that seats up to six people. Lyft’s vehicle options allow for each rider to get the Miami-style rideshare experience they want, when they want. And, as always, passengers looking for a reliable, affordable option can choose a classic Lyft ride.
"Bringing Lyft Lux and Lux SUV to Miami is a response to what we heard from our passengers and our drivers. With the addition of these two ride types; passengers have the ability to request a premium, black car ride on-demand, right within the Lyft app. For drivers, this is an opportunity to get the most of your high-end vehicle and earn even higher fares. We couldn't be more excited to bring these to the Miami market," said Samuel Cohen, general manager of Lyft Florida.
But Lyft has gone beyond adding more ride modes and more features to boost the brand. Aside from all the perks, Lyft has made it a top priority to highlight the value it places in both its riders and its drivers, which are the life force of the company. To show how much Lyft appreciates its drivers, the brand established itself as the first rideshare company to allow riders the option of tipping and recently announcing that drivers had received more than $250 million in tips through the Lyft app.
Lyft also gives its riders the flexibility to set the tone for the type of rideshare experience they would like. Aside from choosing the type of vehicle that fits your budget and preference, as a Lyft rider, you have the ability to set the tone depending on how you feel. If you want to hop in the backseat, put on your headphones, and relax, that’s no big deal. But you can always ride shotgun and get to know your Lyft driver, too. Chances are, they’re a neighbor.
Lyft’s heavy growth in South Florida, its largest and fastest-growing Florida market, is no accident. Lyft’s mission is to reconnect people through safe, reliable on-demand transportation that helps bring people and communities together.
By making travel in Miami as easy, comfortable and gratifying as possible, Lyft strives to create the type of community we want our world to be: diverse, inclusive and connected.
